Somatic Integration Online sessions coming in October. Four weekly sessions will posted every Friday in October. Sessions will inclue teaching about somatic integration followed by one somatic movement session using the rebounder. Sessions can be done in the comfort in your own home. Required Equipment: ❤️A rebounder/mini trampoline (I got mine off Amazon for under $100) Rebounding is a low-impact exercise using a rebounder (aka a mini-trampoline) by which you safely rebound your own energy through your core. Exchange $33 CDN. The intention of these weekly sessions are for individuals who want to integrate movement into their lives through a trauma informed lens. Personally, coming out of the trauma response of freeze continues to be a work in progress for me. Somatic Sessions is one way I integrate into my life. Sessions are typically under 10 minutes, high intensity musics, and I allow my body to move as it needs (without following reps/counts/script/etc) The intention of somatic integration session is solely to move the body freely without judgement/shame. I will begin each session with teaching through a trauma informed lens the importances of integration work, followed by modelling somatic integration on the rebounder. Individuals can use a yoga mat, if they wish, I choose a rebounder as allows joy/fun back into movement, as well as easier on the physical body. I still work up a sweat and definitely feel like I've worked out without the extra stress on my physical body.
