Holistic Counselling
I believe in a humanistic approach to healing & for Mental Health Counselling.
Holistic Counselling is an approach that considers the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—in the therapeutic process. It incorporates various philosophies and beliefs to address mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
As a Holistic Counsellor my emphasize is no-drug treatments which includes: self-care strategies, preventative behaviours, lifestyle awareness (diet/physical activity), & body awareness. As well as a working knowledge of trauma responses (fight, flight, freeze, fawn) and how it affects your nervous system (dysregulated vs. regulated).
My intention is to encourage & empower clients in the self-healing process.
Naturopathic Approach to Mental Health
I use the 6 principles of Naturopath in my sessions:
1. Do no harm
2. Healing Power of Nature
3. Identify root causes (mind, body, spirit)
4. Treat the whole person
5. Naturopath as a Teacher
6. Prevention is the best cure
