What is the Inner Compass?

The Inner Compass is a sacred self-reflection tool.  A learning grid to guide you back to your center. It bridges spiritual wisdom and neuroscience, integrating the Divine Feminine (right brain intuition) and Divine Masculine (left brain logic/structure) with the body’s innate intelligence.

By engaging both hemispheres, this practice gives you a grounded foundation to recognize how your nervous system reacts,  through Fight, Flight, Freeze, or Fawn, and provides simple, somatic and journaling exercises to shift from reactivity into responsive, embodied presence.

  3. Follow the micro-practice or journaling prompt to shift from reaction to responsive presence.

Nervous System: Activated, protective, boundary-setting
Divine Energy: Masculine (direct, assertive, empowered action)
Brain Hemisphere: Left  (focused, analytical, problem-solving)

Micro-shift:

  • Place a hand on your solar plexus/belly.

  • Take three slow inhales follow by longer exhales.

  • Soften your jaw and shoulders.

  • Repeat until the softness returns in your jaw or shoulders.

Journal prompt:
“Where in my life am I holding tension or force? How could I meet this situation with calm strength?”

Swords — Air — Flight

 

Nervous System: Urgency, racing thoughts, impulse to escape
Divine Energy: Masculine-Feminine blend (strategic thinking with receptivity)
Brain Hemisphere: Left + Right ( analytical mind balanced with intuition)

Micro-shift:

  • Ground your feet firmly.

  • Inhale into your belly.

  • Visualize choosing direction rather than running.

Journal prompt:
“Where am I rushing or avoiding? How can I take one intentional step toward clarity?”

Nervous System: Stuck, immobilized, conserving energy
Divine Energy: Feminine (receptive, inward-focused, patient)
Brain Hemisphere: Right (sensing, spatial awareness, body-centered intuition)

Micro-shift:

  • Wiggle your fingers or toes.

  • Orient to three objects around you.

  • Breathe slowly and notice your body.

Journal prompt:
“Where do I feel immobilized or disconnected? What small movement or choice could help me re-engage?”

Nervous System: Over-giving, self-abandonment, people-pleasing
Divine Energy: Feminine-Masculine blend (nurturing self while setting boundaries)
Brain Hemisphere: Right + Left (emotional intuition meets conscious discernment)

  • Place a hand over your heart.

  • Breathe deeply into your chest.

  • Notice where your energy flows outward versus inward.

Journal prompt:
“Where am I prioritizing others over myself? How can I honor my needs right now?”
