Just breathe....it's a bit more than that.

Learning to breathe when triggered is a bit more than saying to yourself "just breathe". Breathwork takes time & practice to effectively help when your body & mind is in a trigger response. You may ask yourself, why do I need a coach to help me learn how to breathe? Making appointments to be coached in breathwork, isn't any different than making an appointment for any other self-care ritual: hair app, lunch dates, nails, fitness...etc.
Effective breathwork takes time, commitment, and coaching. Over time, the commitment you make to learning & applying strategies will pay off. Breathwork has probably been one of the #1 strategies I use & commit to. It's now a daily practice, it didn't start off that way. I often held my breath, unaware that holding my breath was a trauma response.
Daily breathwork is a commitment. It's the same commitment as taking time to exercise. Often you can commit to learn on your own. Sometimes, like exercise, you need a coach to guide you.
Breathwork is a simple strategy, but does take commitment. For me, it trains my mind & body to connect, to calm, to process the emotion in a safe manner.
